Our Story
Women’s Educational Institute (Jamia tul Banaat) Umer Colony B, Lal bazar Srinagar is an autonomous girls residential educational institute under the name of a recognized trust “Taleem-e-Niswaan Trust J&K” The institute is recognized by the Govt. of J&K vide No: HE/Recog /Aalimiyat & Fazeelat Course 16/2003 Dated 21/07/2003 affiliated with the University of Kashmir under F(Recog-JamiatulBanaat)Acad/KU/05 Dated May 11, 2005 and affiliated with State Board of School Education vide No: F(Aff/P/Sch/Gen)12 Dated 15 May, 2012.
The institute is run by the fee of students and a meager amount of local donation. It is pertinent to mention here that the institute is providing free education and residential facilities to the orphan students and also provides the financial assistance to the financially weaker students.
